Jessica Henery

Psychologist / PhD Candidate

Jessica Henery is a Psychologist and PhD Candidate at the University of New South Wales. Her research interests surround understanding how the parent-child relationship and family system influence child behaviour, and how early intervention can buffer children against poor longitudinal outcomes.

Jessica completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) with First Class from the University of Sydney in 2021, researching how moral self-concept primes impact ethical intentions in adults. Her PhD research examines how varying levels of parental warmth act as risk and protective factors for the development of childhood conduct problems and callous unemotional traits.

Jessica has experience working therapeutically with children from across the age range, and has worked clinically with adults and adolescents in both community and forensic settings. She is also involved in the assessment and diagnosis of behavioural disorders for early intervention and treatment.
