2019 PCIT Convention (Chicago, USA)

PCIT therapists Adrienne Turnell and Georgie Fleming attended the 2019 PCIT Convention in Chicago, USA. They had a brilliant time meeting PCIT therapists and trainers from around the world, and learnt about some exciting new PCIT adaptations, strategies, and research. They also had some excellent meals and met lots of wonderful new friends.

Dr. Georgie Fleming had the very great pleasure of presenting a clinical skills workshop at the 2019 PCIT Convention in Chicago, USA. Her talk entitled “What do you do when it doesn’t work? An adaptation of PCIT for treatment dropouts and non-responders” was extremely well received by a curious and enthusiastic audience. Georgie was excited to disseminate research findings pertaining to the treatment of response of children with elevated callous-unemotional traits, and was gratified to hear that many therapists anticipated that the new skills and strategies would be helpful in their clinical work with families of children with disruptive behaviour disorders.
