Silvana Kaouar
Silvana Kaouar is a psychologist and Clinical Masters/PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales. Her research interests include understanding and measuring the role of early life experiences on various childhood outcomes including socialisation, conscience formation, behaviour, and emotional functioning, and in the comprehensive assessment of childhood disorders.
Silvana completed a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours at UNSW, researching the moderating role of callous-unemotional traits on the relationship between parenting style and childhood conduct problems. Her PhD research will examine biobehavioural parent-child synchrony in subgroups of young children with conduct problems, with a focus on salivary bioscience and observed synchrony from parent-child interactions.
Silvana has extensive experience working with families and their children with behavioural and anxiety difficulties. She is also involved in the assessment and diagnosis of behavioural disorders for early intervention and treatment.
