Our very own Dr Georgie Fleming makes a guest appearance on radio talk show, RNZ!

Georgie, a Clinical Psychologist and UNSW Lecturer, talks about a trial she led in regional and rural NSW that involved internet-delivered Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). This online version of PCIT coaches parents on how to deal with their child’s challenging behaviours in real-time, and from the comforts of their own homes. This timely trial was surprisingly not born out of COVID-19 restrictions, but from a desire to improve the accessibility of gold-standard treatment interventions. Its relevance will only continue to grow in a society embracing Telehealth options and accessibility.

Tune in to hear about how this virtual support was delivered, why we focus on strengthening the parent-child relationship, and of course, Georgie’s findings!
